GuitarToolkit Lite App Reviews

Great tool for guitarists

I bought the lite version because I am on the Touch and already have a tuner. The scales functionality is reason enough to have this tool. I can sit in my bedroom and practice scales and improvisions just using my iPod. When my guitar is not around I can tap out leads on the touch fretboard. For less than the price of a scale/chord book, this is well worth it.

Great

This app has served me extremely well in the while that Ive had it, both on the bass and regular guitar. I use the metronome often, the chords, scales, pretty much everything. Theres really nothing wrong with it, I would however just love the devs even more if they would add cut-capo chords. Please? That would be amazing. Anywho, even without that, this is an extremely solid app. Great work.

Great app! but please add tablature

Been a great app but please add tablature function so you can download tabs for offline use. Then definate 5 star app

Excellent...but...

The review written by the software team says that it comes with ALL the features that the full version comes with (except the tuner). In fact it does not. Its an amazing app, but I was assuming I would be able to make selections on a blank fret board and have it tell me the chord. I would really like to see that in a new update especially because that was what I was told I would get if I purchased it.

Awesome app

Before I left for college I stole my sisters guitar and then bought this app. Ive been using both ever since, cycling through scales and chords to improve my skills. It has helped me learn how to play immensely and continues to. If there was a feature that allowed the user to add their own or favorite tabs this would be one of the best apps Ive ever owned.

Wonderful App

I cant think of one thing it could be missing. Its bothering me honestly. The only perfect app Ive seen as of yet. Update OMG buy this app now!

Great App

New update is awesome, I love the chord finder. Just tap some notes on the fretboard and it tells you the chord, even when you dont think that something that youve been playing is called anything at all, and you can look up related chords and find some that sound great. If you are a guitarist and you like learning obscure chords (F#sus2) or just brush up on your scales just go ahead and buy this. This app is $6: thats like a 20 pack of picks! It has everything that guitartoolkit has except the tuner. Save $4.

UPDATE

The full version of GTK is getting some great features, features I expected would come with the $7 "lite" version. Unless they update this version with things like chord identifier, dont waste your money on it. It really is a great app, but misleading due to false advertising on the GTK full version page.

Amazing

Hands down best app for an Ipod Touch.

drshipper

by far the best guitar app out there. could be improved by adding a function to help with progressions.

Mehh.

Metronome, is dumb, you could free apps for it. And the chords you could get online for free. The fret board is kinda dumb.
